Core concepts
- The editor: The one object you talk to. How to create it, read its state, change the document in undoable steps, and move the camera.
- Records and the store: What a CanvasFlow document is made of, how changes are described, and how to hook into them.
- Shapes: The built-in shapes, the props they share, and the one idea that makes CanvasFlow precise - every shape has real geometry.
- Lines and arrows: Draw paths with as many points as you need, pick sharp, round or elbow, choose from 16 line ends, and bind arrows to shapes.
- Tools: How the built-in tools work, how to switch between them, and how input from mouse, touch and pen reaches them.
- Actions and shortcuts: One declaration per command feeds the keyboard, the menus, the command palette and the shortcuts sheet. Add your own, rebind keys, and find conflicts.
- Styles and themes: How styles flow from the panel to shapes, why colors are tokens, and how to give CanvasFlow your own palette.
- Events: Every event the editor emits, what it carries, and which one to use for what.
- Right to left: Mirror the interface, start text from the right and keep the canvas where it is. How CanvasFlow handles Arabic, Hebrew and mixed text.
